Let's be honest, the pumpkin carvin' was more for me than the kids. They were interested for all of 5 minutes. Todd helped scoop out the gooey center, one seed at a time. Ellen stopped by a couple of times to ooh and aah at the progress, but both were more interested in running around the yard. I let Todd pick out the pattern for the pumpkin. Of course, he picked the hardest one in the book, but I must admit, it turned out great!

That Makes It Okay
Mom: "Stop hitting your sister in the head with that hammer!"
Todd: "But I'm being really soft."

1st Soccer Game
When we got to the field, he wasn't sure if he wanted to play, but once he saw his friends, he was ready to go.
He (#5) stood in that same spot for the first 3 plays. When I asked him what he was doing, he said, "I'm just watching the ball." Apparently during the first 3 plays, he was getting a feel for the game because he ran and kicked the ball down the field on the fourth play. Go #5!
