Family of Four: March 2009

Last weekend, we traveled to Pigeon Forge, TN to spend the weekend with friends, the Covingtons and the Kennedys. We left home Thursday afternoon heading to Birmingham, AL, our halfway point for the night. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm just as the rain was starting. The next morning we drove the rest of the way (in the rain) to the cabin in Pigeon Forge. It rained the entire weekend. Luckily, the cabin had an air hockey table and pool table that kept all of us (especially the kids) entertained. Saturday, we went to Ripley's Aquarium which the kids loved. On Sunday, we took the kids to play put-put golf and to an arcade (both were indoors). The rain stopped long enough Sunday afternoon for Toby and Todd to walk up the side of the mountain. We left Monday morning for home and drove through five states in the rain. Despite the rainy weekend, we had a great time with our friends and are looking forward to the next time we can all get together again.
